Strummer Integrated Star Ratchet 60T – Latest Generation

Strummer Star Ratchet 60T comes with new materials and a more efficient and modern integrated system. This system uses only 1 spring, so when the freewheel operates, only one side of the mechanism moves. This design makes the structure simpler, minimizes unnecessary friction, and is easier to maintain.

With 60 Teeth, this system provides tighter and more responsive engagement compared to lower tooth counts. Suitable for riders who want more precise power transfer, quicker reactions during acceleration, and better control in technical riding conditions.

The integrated design also simplifies the process of installing and removing the ratchet, both for mechanics and users who are accustomed to doing their own servicing.

Compatibility With Adjustments

For the following products, the integrated system needs to be removed first.
Use only 2 pcs of black/silver ratchet gears (according to version) and continue using the original spring that comes with the hub/wheelset:

  • Strummer HR-360 Ratchet Gen-2 Rear Hub

  • Strummer HR-500 Rear Hub

  • Strummer HR-700 Rear Hub

  • Strummer Tempo30 HR-500 Wheelset

  • Strummer Aeroflow Xtreme HR-500 Wheelset

  • Strummer Aeroflow Xtreme HR-700 Wheelset (Carbon Spoke)

Installation Method

  1. Remove the old system from the hub (2 springs + 2 star ratchets).

  2. The product is shipped in a without grease (ungreased) condition. Use special pawl & ratchet grease to lubricate the surfaces between the gears before installation.

  3. For new hubs, install directly:

    • The white part on the inner side

    • The red part on the outer side (near the sprocket)

  4. For hubs that have been used, clean the mechanism area before installation for optimal performance.

  5. For hubs that do not support the integrated system, remove the integrated system and use only 2 pcs of ratchet gears. Use the original spring that comes with the hub.
