Find a suitable wheelset.
Select the bike use, axle standard, cassette or cog system, and tire width. This selector helps find compatible 700C / 29-inch wheelsets while explaining the differences between rims, hubs, and spokes. The results are an initial guide based on product data and still need to be matched to the specifications of the frame, fork, cassette, and tires being used.
How do you read the differences between wheelsets?
A low profile is more neutral in crosswinds. A medium profile balances aerodynamics and control. A high profile is more focused on maintaining speed.
Bladed or aero describes the flattened shape of the spoke. Triple-butted describes changes in spoke thickness. Carbon spokes have different construction characteristics and service procedures.
Direct installation is simpler. Some wheelsets remain compatible with other axles or freehubs but require an adapter or freehub body sold separately. HG Road Ultralight is the premium version with additional CNC finishing to make it lighter than HG Road Regular without reducing product strength; both use the HG Road cassette standard.
This selector uses the RJM wheelset database dated September 1, 2026. Route categories follow the product data. Always check wheel size, axle and dropout standards, braking system, cassette or cog, frame and fork clearance, system weight limit, tire pressure, and the compatibility stated by the tire manufacturer. Additional adapters and freehubs are sold separately when indicated in the results.
