First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing a Strummer hub to power your bicycle. Our hubs are highly durable and will accompany you on your rides. For your convenience, we would like to offer a spare parts list to make the product purchasing and repair process easier. If you find this article helpful, please share it with your friends.

Although we strive to make this list complete, up to date, and accurate, it may contain historical information from when we were improving our product range.   • Do not use thread-locking components/liquid on any part of your hub.
  • The terrain conditions when cycling & cycling frequency will determine how often cleaning, lubrication, and other maintenance are required.

Further Notes:

  • 5.2*100 mm and 9*142 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 9 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap attached to the frame.
  • 5.2*135 mm and 10*135 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap attached to the frame.
  • 5.2*142 mm and 10*142 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap attached to the frame.

Changing the Hub O.L.D. (Diameter & Width) by Replacing the End Cap (Adaptor)

Using a Strummer hub, you can change the hub size, allowing the hub you purchase to be installed on bicycles with different frame and fork sizes. Below are some of the OLD (Over Lock Nut Dimension) sizes supported by our hub and adaptor combinations.

  • Front Hub: 12*100 mm → 9*100 mm : Use the 9*100 mm End Cap for HR-360 ( ADT-00055BK )
  • Rear Hub: 12*142 mm → 10*135 mm : Use the End Cap 10*135 mm for HR-360 ( ADT-00057BK )
  • Rear Hub: 12*142 mm → 10*142 mm : Use the End Cap 10*142 mm for HR-360 ( ADT-00056BK )
  • Rear Hub: 12*142 mm (Original Spare Part, No Size Change) : Use the 12*142 mm End Cap for HR-360 ( ADT-00064BK )

  • Rear Hub 10*135 mm → 10*142 mm : Use  End Cap 10*142 mm for HM-280/HM-350/HM-380 ( ADT-00033BK )
  • Rear Hub 10*135 mm → 12*142 mm : Use End Cap 12*142 mm for HM-280/HM-350/HM-380 ( ADT-00045BK )
  • Rear Hub 10*135 mm → 12*148 mm : Use End Cap 12*142 mm for HM-280/HM-350/HM-380 ( ADT-00045BK ), then also use the 142 to 148 mm hub spacer ( ADT-00032BK / ADT-00032RD / ADT-00032DL ),  an additional bolt spacer may be required to adjust the position of the brake caliper

            Disc Brake Rotor Mounting System ConversionDisc Brake Rotor Conversion

            Strummer hubs are available with several braking systems: rim brake, ISO 6-bolt disc brake, and centerlock disc brake. If you have a hub with a centerlock disc brake system, you can also install a 6-bolt rotor by using the Strummer centerlock adapter ( ADT-00053BK ).

            Freehub Body Rubber Seals Replacement

            The rubber seals on the Strummer hub have internal reinforcement to provide extra strength and durability. This reinforcement helps maintain their shape for longer. However, rubber will still deteriorate and degrade over time. In general, you should inspect the seals when cleaning the hub. If the seals have deteriorated, replace them to prevent dirt and water from entering, which can reduce the hub’s performance and longevity.

            Our rubber seal is easy to install; simply pull the freehub body and rubber seal in opposite directions. If the rubber seal comes off during freehub body installation, simply remove the rubber seal.

            For installation, ensure the rubber seal is aligned, then push it in while holding two different sides of the rubber seal. Press it inward toward the freehub body in the correct direction.

            Strummer Hub Sealed Bearing Upgrade & Replacement

            We offer 3 different bearing variants for servicing, replacement, or upgrading. Our hubs are assembled with steel sealed bearings. You may also choose to use hybrid ceramic sealed bearings of the same size during servicing. Full ceramic bearings are only recommended for use on genuinely smooth road surfaces (e.g., track or velodrome).

            Please use the appropriate bearing size. Incorrect bearing use or installation may damage the bearing bore and affect hub/wheelset performance and durability.
