For your convenience, we would like to offer a spare parts list to make purchasing and repairing our products easier. If you find this article helpful, please share it with your friends.

Although we strive to keep this list complete, up to date, and accurate, it may contain historical information as we update our product range. Please double-check whenever possible before purchasing.   • Do not use thread-locking components or fluids on any part of your hub.
  • The riding conditions and frequency of use determine how often cleaning, lubrication, and other maintenance are needed.

Further Notes:

  • 5.2*100 mm and 9*142 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 9 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap that attaches to the frame.
  • 5.2*135 mm and 10*135 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap that attaches to the frame.
  • 5.2*142 mm and 10*142 mm are the same size. 5.2 mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10 mm is the outer diameter of the part of the end cap that attaches to the frame.

Changing Hub O.L.D. (Diameter & Width) by Replacing the End Cap (Adapter)

By using Strummer hubs, you can change the hub size, allowing the hub you purchase to be fitted to bikes with different frame and fork sizes. Below are some OLD (Over Lock Nut Dimension) sizes supported by our hub and adapter combinations.

  • Front Hub: 12*100 mm → 9*100 mm : Use the 9*100 mm End Cap for HR-360 ( ADT-00055BK )
  • Rear Hub: 12*142 mm → 10*135 mm : Use the 10*135 mm End Cap for HR-360 ( ADT-00057BK )
  • Rear Hub: 12*142 mm → 10*142 mm : Use End Cap 10*142 mm for HR-360 ( ADT-00056BK )

  • Rear Hub 10*135 mm → 12*142 mm : Use 12*142 mm End Cap for HM-280/HM-350/HM-380 ( ADT-00045BK )
  • Rear Hub 10*135 mm → 12*148 mm : Use 12*142 mm End Cap  for HM-280/HM-350/HM-380 ( ADT-00045BK ), then also use a 142 to 148 mm hub spacer ( ADT-00032BK / ADT-00032RD / ADT-00032DL ),  an additional bolt spacer may be required to adjust the brake caliper position

    Freehub Body Conversion / Replacement

    Strummer hubs can be converted to fit different cassette sprocket standards. This means our hubs can be adapted to the groupset brand you use. This makes things easier when you need to replace your bike with one that has a different groupset.

            Disc Brake Rotor Mounting System Conversion

            Strummer hubs are available with several braking systems: rim brake, ISO 6-bolt disc brake, & centerlock disc brake. If you have a hub with a centerlock disc brake system, you can also fit a 6-bolt rotor using the Strummer centerlock adapter ( ADT-00053BK ).

            Freehub Body Rubber Seal Replacement

            The rubber seal on the Strummer hub has internal reinforcement for extra strength and durability. This reinforcement helps it retain its shape for longer. However, rubber will still deteriorate over time. In general, we recommend inspecting the seal when cleaning the hub. If the seal has deteriorated, replace it to prevent dirt and water from getting in and reducing the hub’s performance and lifespan.

            Our rubber seal is easy to install: simply pull the freehub body and rubber seal in opposite directions. If the rubber seal comes off while installing the freehub body, simply remove it.

            For installation, make sure the rubber seal is aligned, then push it in by holding two different sides of the seal. Push it toward the freehub body in the correct direction.

            Strummer Hub Sealed Bearing Upgrade & Replacement

            We offer 3 different bearing options for servicing, replacement, or upgrades. Our hubs are assembled with steel sealed bearings. You can also choose to use hybrid ceramic sealed bearings of the same size during servicing. Full ceramic bearings are only recommended for use on very smooth road surfaces (e.g., track, velodrome).

            Please use the appropriate bearing size. Improper bearing use/installation can damage the bore and affect hub/wheelset performance and durability.
