The Strummer CW-7 is a chainwheel / crankset with aluminium alloy crank arms, a standard 104 mm BCD, and a square taper bottom bracket system. The chainring can be removed and replaced as needed.
Chainring options
The CW-7 is available in packages with either a steel chainring or an aluminium narrow-wide chainring. The chainring material and size depend on the selected variant.
For high-performance use, we recommend the package with an aluminium narrow-wide chainring. If you choose the steel package, the chainring can be upgraded to a compatible aluminium narrow-wide chainring for the crankset, drivetrain, and chain being used.

Geometry and adjustment
The bottom bracket spindle length affects the chainline and the distance between the crank arms (Q-factor). Choose a spindle length that suits your bicycle configuration and ensure sufficient clearance from the frame.
Weight of package with steel chainring
- 165 mm crank + 34T steel chainring: 750 grams
- 165 mm crank + 40T steel chainring: 750 grams
- 165 mm crank + 44T steel chainring: 740 grams
- 170 mm crank + 44T steel chainring: 750 grams
The weights above apply only to packages with a steel chainring, not an aluminium narrow-wide chainring.
Use with a 9-speed drivetrain
The CW-7 can be used with a 9-speed drivetrain. Before installation, make sure the chainring, chain, chainline, and square taper bottom bracket are compatible with the bicycle configuration.
