Strummer Integrated Star Ratchet 60T – Latest Generation
The Strummer Integrated Star Ratchet 60T features updated materials and a more efficient, modern integrated system design. This system uses 1 spring, so when the freewheel is operating, only one side of the mechanism moves. The structure is simpler, minimizes unnecessary friction, and is easier to maintain.

For the following products, the integrated system must be removed first.
Use only 2 ratchet teeth pcs (black, matching the 2025 version) and continue using the hub/wheelset's original spring:

Installation Instructions

Remove the existing system from the hub (2 springs + 2 star ratchets).

The product is shipped without grease (ungreased).
Use grease specifically designed for pawls & ratchets to lubricate the surfaces between the teeth before installation. -
For a new hub:

White part on the inner side

Red part on the outer side (near the sprocket)

For a hub that has already been used, clean the mechanism area before installation for optimal performance.

For hubs that do not support the integrated system (2025 version only), remove the integrated system and use only 2 ratchet teeth pcs with the hub's original spring.

Lubrication and Coasting Characteristics
First, check whether the ratchet has been lubricated with suitable grease. During coasting, the 60T ratchet will stop more quickly than the 36T and 54T ratchets because it has more teeth. Its advantage is faster engagement when you start pedaling again. If the rotation feels abnormal, ask a dealer to inspect it.
Maintenance Interval
The interval for cleaning and regreasing depends on usage intensity and exposure to water, dust, and the mechanism's condition. Check it more frequently after wet or dirty use, and use grease suitable for the hub.
