Strummer HR-10 Ratchet is one of the best hubs in its class for your road bike (with a rim brake mechanism). Designed to be fast on the road, agile through corners, lightweight on climbs, and durable enough to handle water, dust, and various other conditions. The 36T ratchet mechanism drives the bike forward with a 10° engagement angle & delivers solid power transfer from the pedals to the wheel.
This ratchet mechanism can be upgraded to 60T for a quicker response when starting to pedal from a standstill. Upgrading to the 60T star ratchet reduces the engagement angle to 6°.
Each hub is precisely manufactured using a combination of AL6061-T6 and AL7075-T6 alloy, then undergoes surface finishing and anodizing processes according to our high standards. Our hub range offers various options and accessories to accommodate different axle sizes, spoke hole counts, disc brake rotor mounts, cassette sprocket systems, and colors.

Rear Hub (Freehub) Maintenance Notes
Grease lubricates the parts that rub against each other in the freehub mechanism of the rear hub, helping reduce friction and wear. We do not recommend removing all the grease solely to obtain a louder sound. Without adequate lubrication, components may wear out or become damaged more quickly, shortening their service life. Use the type and amount of lubricant recommended for product maintenance.
Rear Bearing Replacement
To replace the rear bearings on the HR-10 Ratchet, use a suitable bearing press/puller tool. Inspection and removal of the ratchet mechanism should preferably be performed by a dealer to ensure that the tools and procedures used are appropriate for the hub's design.

Rear Hub Size Conversion
No. The HR-10 Ratchet uses a 10×130 mm rear hub and cannot be converted to 135 mm. If the cassette touches the frame, ask your dealer to check the compatibility of the hub with the frame and the cassette installation.
