Rear Hub Maintenance Note (Freehub)

Grease lubricates the contacting parts of the freehub mechanism in the rear hub, helping reduce friction and wear. Removing all the grease solely to obtain a louder sound is not recommended. Without adequate lubrication, components may wear out or become damaged more quickly, shortening their service life. Use the type and amount of lubricant recommended for product maintenance.

HM-380 Boost Gen-1 requires a 15×110 mm thru-axle fork and a rear frame compatible with the 12×148 mm hub configuration. The front hub is not compatible with a 100 mm QR fork or a 100 mm thru axle. Check the size of your 2021 Xtrada 5 at a dealer before purchasing.
