The Strummer HR-10 4-Pawl hub is designed for cyclists who desire smooth and efficient wheel rotation without sacrificing durability. Equipped with a 4-pawl system, this hub offers optimal degrees of engagement (responsive enough without being excessive), allowing speed to be maintained while not pedaling. With HG system compatibility on the cassette, this hub can be paired with various cassette sprockets and groupsets. Additionally, this hub supports HG road sprockets up to 12 speeds, providing more flexibility for various types of bike components.
In the development of the HR-10 hub, we delved into the factors that influence smooth rotation with minimal resistance. One of the main aspects we found is the use of high-precision sized bearings. Additionally, the design and quality of the hub body also play a crucial role.
We apply a high-precision CNC machining process, one of the best in its class, to ensure that the bearings are installed without excessive pressure and that the pressure applied is evenly distributed from all sides. Strummer's CAD (Center Alignment Design) technology further perfects this balance, ensuring that the bearings are installed precisely at the center of the hub body according to our strict standards.
