Strummer Directset Headset is a headset with an integrated system, in which the bearings are installed directly inside the frame's head tube without additional cups. This system provides a cleaner and more practical appearance for frames designed specifically with the integrated headset standard.
This headset uses sealed bearings that follow the JIS standard, with bearings made of high-carbon Chromium Steel. After undergoing heat treatment, the bearings have good hardness, a uniform surface, and improved stability and corrosion resistance.
At the top of the headset, the top cover features an O-ring to help reduce water ingress into the bearing area. The bolt section on the star nut cover is also equipped with a rubber protector, and a dust cover helps reduce the entry of dust and dirt into the components.
