The Strummer V2 Hydro Mechanical Flat Mount Caliper lets you improve braking performance using a hydraulic system. Compatible with cable-operated brake levers. The V2 version denotes our second-generation caliper, with improved performance, durability, and design.

What's New?
The cable pull direction is designed to reduce bending (which affects performance) when the caliper is installed on a bicycle frame with internal cable routing.
Dual-Action piston pads for braking performance. One piston on each side. Improved V2 hydraulic rubber seals. Synchronized movement (the pistons move together).
Improved seals, durability, resistance, and braking power.
Aerodynamic design. This new design moves the cable inside the chain-stay/seat-stay to improve aerodynamics and compatibility. This caliper can be installed on bicycles with aggressive/low seat-stay angles.
The body is CNC-machined to remove unnecessary material (weight reduction). CNC machining also improves the product's precision, accuracy, and surface finish.
V2 Hydro Mechanical Specifications
Bleeding Fluid: Use Mineral Oil (Recommended Replacement/Refill)
Disc Brake Pads: Ceramic-metal formulation
Braking Force: 180 kg
Includes: Mounting hardware (Front & Rear Flat Mount Adapters), 2 Rotors, 2 Calipers
Mount: Flat Mount
Caliper Weight: 163 grams each with pads (326 grams for two calipers, excluding rotors & mounting hardware)

Compatibility with Tektro Mira / Polygon Bend R2
V2 Hydro Mechanical can be installed if the Tektro Mira you are using also has a flat mount, or if your Polygon Bend R2 frame and fork are confirmed to use flat mount. V2 Hydro Mechanical is operated by a brake cable. Check the rotor size, required adapters, and brake levers and cables before installation.
Hydro Mechanical System Maintenance
V2 uses a hydro mechanical system: the brake cable actuates a hydraulic mechanism in the caliper, rather than using a full hydraulic system. Use mineral oil for bleeding or fluid replacement. This process should preferably be performed with the assistance of a dealer using the appropriate tools and procedures.
