Product details

Performance is not born from a single innovation.
It is born from experience, testing, and an obsession with detail.

Strummer Superdura SLR HR-800 was developed to deliver a modern road wheelset with a balance of power-transfer efficiency, high-speed stability, and riding comfort in real-world conditions.

With an internal width of 23 mm, this rim profile follows modern road performance standards - supporting wider tires for better grip, greater stability, and more optimal rolling efficiency than the previous generation.

With its very light wheelset weight, the HR-800 is also an ideal choice for climbing performance, helping maintain momentum on long climbs while delivering noticeably more responsive acceleration whenever exiting a corner or transitioning between gradients.

Next-Generation Materials & Structure

The rim uses a high-modulus T1000 carbon blend, producing a combination of:

  • Very low weight

  • High structural stiffness

  • More direct acceleration response

Combined with the latest rim geometry design and TRS (Tubeless Ready System) technology, this wheelset provides maximum tire-use flexibility.

TRS allows the use of both tubeless tires and standard clincher tires.
This means the wheelset remains easy to use with the familiar conventional tire setup, while still offering the option to upgrade to a tubeless system in the future without replacing the wheelset.

In addition to configuration flexibility, the TRS design also helps optimize rolling resistance and improve riding comfort across various asphalt conditions.

Precision Wheel Engineering

Each wheelset undergoes a multilayered quality-control process:

  • Spoke stress relief

  • Alignment inspection

  • Rim trueness measurement

  • Spoke tension uniformity verification

Strummer Carbon Straightpull Spokes are manufactured to a high level of precision with a length tolerance of 0.5 mm - approximately twice as precise as the common industry standard (±1 mm).

This level of precision helps produce a more balanced wheel structure, more efficient power transfer, and more consistent long-term performance.

HR-800 Ratchet Hub System

This wheelset uses an HR-800 Straightpull Hub with a 54T ratchet engagement system for fast, responsive acceleration.

All hub components are processed using high-precision CNC machining to maximize material efficiency without compromising structural strength.

Compared with the previous generation of road disc hubs, the HR-800 was designed with a focus on:

  • Weight reduction

  • Higher rotational efficiency (thanks to ceramic bearings)

Designed for Real-World Road Performance

This wheelset is optimized for performance-oriented road cycling on asphalt surfaces, with a focus on:

  • High-speed stability

  • Efficient power delivery

  • Long-distance riding comfort

  • Climbing efficiency thanks to the very light wheelset weight

Designed for today's performance while remaining ready for the future of cycling technology.

⚠ Special Notice - Carbon Straightpull Spoke System

Strummer Carbon Straightpull Spokes use a system that differs from conventional spokes.

With conventional spokes, tightening and loosening are performed from the inner rim diameter side.
For Strummer carbon spokes, this method is strictly prohibited, as it may damage the product and endanger user safety.

Spoke servicing must use:

  • 3.4 mm Spoke Holder (Example: Park Tool SW-22)

  • 5.5 mm Internal Spoke Nipple Wrench (Example: Park Tool SW-15)

Always use the appropriate tools and follow the correct service procedures to preserve product service life and user safety.
