Fork Strummer GVL32 is designed for road and gravel bikes that need added comfort, control, and stability when riding over rough road surfaces, paving, light gravel, or uneven routes.
With travel options of 40 mm, 50 mm, and 60 mm, the GVL32 helps absorb vibrations without excessively changing the character of a road/gravel bike. The shorter travel keeps handling stable and controlled, unlike MTB forks, which generally have longer travel and different handling characteristics.
This fork uses an air suspension system with lockout, allowing air pressure to be adjusted according to system weight, riding style, and route conditions.
To inflate the fork, simply open the valve cap by hand. No special tools are required to open the cap.

Cable System Variants
The Strummer GVL32 fork is available in two cable system variants. Make sure to choose the variant that matches your frame design and installation requirements.
1. Internal Cable
The internal cable variant has an opening in the steerer tube, allowing the brake cable to enter through the headset area and pass through the inside of the steerer tube.
The cable then exits through an opening at the bottom of the steerer tube before reaching the brake caliper.
This variant is suitable for frames that support an internal cable routing system and provides a cleaner, more minimalist appearance.
Suitable for:
- Frames with internal cable routing
- A clean cockpit configuration
- Users who prioritize a clean, modern appearance
2. External Cable
The external cable variant has no opening in the steerer tube. The brake cable is routed along the outside of the fork.
This fork includes a dedicated guide for external cable routing, keeping the cable position neat and controlled without detracting from the bike's appearance.
This variant is simpler to install and suitable for frames that do not support internal cable routing.
Suitable for:
- Frames with external cable routing
- Easier, more flexible installation
- Users who want a clean configuration without an internal cable system
Recommended Air Pressure
The following air pressure recommendations are starting points. Adjustments can still be made according to rider preference, terrain, and riding style.
System weight includes the weight of the rider, bike, bottles, bags, and other equipment used while cycling.
40 mm Travel — Firm
| System Weight | Air Pressure |
|---|---|
| 60–70 kg | 85 psi |
| 71–80 kg | 90 psi |
| 81–90 kg | 95 psi |
| >90 kg | 100 psi |

|---|---|
| 60–70 kg | 80 psi |
| 71–80 kg | 85 psi |
| 81–90 kg | 90 psi |
| 91–100 kg | 95 psi |
| >100 kg | 100 psi |
60 mm Travel — Comfortable
| System Weight | Air Pressure |
|---|---|
| 60–70 kg | 80 psi |
| 71–80 kg | 82–85 psi |
| 81–90 kg | 88–90 psi |
| 91–100 kg | 92–95 psi |

How to Inflate
- Open the fork valve cap by hand.
- Connect the shock pump to the valve.
- Inflate to the recommended starting pressure.
- Adjust the pressure if the fork feels too firm or too soft.
- When finished, disconnect the shock pump and reinstall the valve cap.
Note: Use a shock pump, not a regular tire pump, for more precise pressure adjustment.

Important Notes
Make sure the fork is installed correctly, especially the steerer tube, headset, brake hose, and thru axle. For the best results, installation should be performed by an experienced bicycle mechanic.
Air pressure can be adjusted from the starting recommendation depending on system weight, riding style, and terrain conditions.
Tire 650b × 47 mm
Yes, the GVL32 can be used with a 650b × 47 mm tire. Still check tire, axle, steerer, and brake mount clearance, as well as compatibility with the bike's geometry. We recommend an in-person inspection at a dealer before installation.
