Strummer Superdura GVL Rim
Strummer Superdura GVL is a high-end gravel rim with high performance designed with a focus on ultra-lightweight, power efficiency, and control on modern gravel terrain. This rim uses UD Carbon Toray T-1000, a premium carbon material with a very high strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for quick acceleration, precise responsiveness, and consistent handling.
With a profile height of 45 mm, Superdura GVL provides aerodynamic advantages without sacrificing stability and comfort on uneven surfaces. The internal width of 27 mm supports the use of high-volume gravel tires for better traction and control.
The 2.8 mm spoke hole offset design helps balance the spoke tension on the left and right, enhancing lateral stiffness and the long-term durability of the wheelset.
Superdura GVL is developed for gravel performance and fast adventure, not for aggressive MTB or downhill use.

Tire Compatibility
Superdura GVL is optimized for modern high-volume gravel tires.
-
Minimum Tire Width: 35 mm
-
Maximum Tire Width: 60 mm
Maximum Air Pressure Recommendations (based on tire width)
Do not exceed the maximum pressure indicated on the tire or the table below. Use the lowest applicable limit.
| Tire Width | Maximum Pressure |
|---|---|
| 35 mm | 62 psi / 4.25 bar |
| 60 mm | 36 psi / 2.5 bar |
The wider the tire used, the lower the maximum recommended air pressure. This aims to maintain the rim structure, improve traction, and optimize comfort and control on gravel terrain.
⚠️ Warning & Important Information
The Strummer Superdura GVL is a high-end class rim that uses special high-performance carbon material. This characteristic provides significant advantages in terms of weight and performance, but requires a deeper technical understanding in the process of assembly, adjustment, and use.
Rim Pressure Strength Limit
-
100 psi is the maximum structural strength limit of the rim
-
At this pressure, the rim will experience complete structural damage and cannot be reused
-
Even approaching this pressure, the rim may experience permanent shape changes (deformation)
-
100 psi is not the operating pressure, but rather the structural failure limit
The operating pressure must always follow the recommended tire pressure and the table above. Exceeding the recommended pressure limit can cause rim damage, wheel failure, and risk of injury.
Terms of Use
-
Always follow the guidelines regarding tire pressure, spoke tension, and component compatibility
-
Damage may occur if the rim is assembled or used beyond technical specifications
-
Not recommended for aggressive MTB trails or downhill
If there is something that is not understood or is in doubt during assembly or use, contact Strummer customer service before proceeding. Proper technical assistance will help ensure optimal performance, safety, and lifespan of the product.
