The rubber seal on the Strummer hub is equipped with internal reinforcement to increase strength and durability. This structure helps keep the seal's shape stable during long-term use.

However, like most rubber components, the seal will still deteriorate over time. Regular inspection is recommended when cleaning the hub. If the seal's condition has deteriorated, replace it immediately to prevent dirt and water from entering, which could affect the hub's performance and service life.

Installation Instructions:

  • Remove the freehub body and rubber seal by pulling them in opposite directions
  • Once the rubber seal has been removed, simply take it out and prepare it for reinstallation
  • Make sure the seal is aligned
  • Press it in while applying even pressure to both sides of the seal
  • Push it toward the freehub body until it is properly installed
