Rear Hub (Freehub) Maintenance Notes
Grease lubricates the parts that rub against each other in the freehub mechanism of the rear hub, helping reduce friction and wear. Removing all the grease solely to obtain a louder sound is not recommended. Without adequate lubrication, components may wear out or become damaged more quickly, shortening their service life. Use the type and amount of lubricant recommended for product maintenance.

The HM-380 Boost Gen-2 model is available. Check the specifications and variant on that model's product page; contact a dealer for stock availability. Spare parts must be matched to the hub model and generation.
Polygon Cascade 4 2021
The HM-380 Gen-1 non-Boost is compatible with the 2021 Polygon Cascade 4 when using a 9×100 mm front and 10×135 mm rear QR, an HG cassette, a 6-bolt rotor, and the appropriate number of rim holes. Check the component standards on your bicycle before installation.
Polygon Path 3
The HM-380 Gen-1 non-Boost is compatible with the Polygon Path 3 if the bicycle uses a 9×100 mm front QR, 10×135 mm rear QR, an HG cassette, a 6-bolt rotor, and the appropriate number of rim holes. Check the standards on the bicycle first.
Polygon Heist X5
The HM-380 Gen-1 non-Boost can be used on the Polygon Heist X5 if the axle, end cap, freehub, rotor, and number of holes are compatible. Check the bicycle's year and configuration. If they differ from the hub's standard 9×100/10×135 mm QR, the appropriate end caps are required.
Installation on a 141 mm QR Frame
Use the Strummer 10×142 Gen-1 Rear Hub Adapter, which supports conversion from 10×135 to 10×142 mm and is sold separately. Ensure it is compatible with the HM-380 Gen-1 non-Boost. A mechanic should check the dropout mounts and rotor position for the 141 mm QR configuration.
Checking Rotor Position After Conversion
The need for a rotor spacer must be checked during installation. Ask a mechanic to inspect the rotor position relative to the caliper based on the frame, hub, adapter, and caliper being used.
