Further Information
* Material strength testing was conducted using Westcott Titanium scissors. The scissors were in a closed position. The rim tape was placed on top of thick padding. The scissors were pressed against the back surface of the bar tape (which contains adhesive) with approximately equal force. The result of the test showed that the Strummer rim tape experienced deformation (but did not tear). Other brands of bar tape had already torn without significant deformation. The testing was conducted several times to obtain an average result & reduce inconsistency.
