Kennardi's Experience Using the Strummer Aeroflow Xtreme D40 HR-700 Wheelset (Carbon Spoke)

Kennardi finally decided to level up by upgrading his wheelset to the Strummer Aeroflow Xtreme D40 HR-700. This wheelset is truly a complete package: Strummer carbon straightpull spokes, Strummer HR-700 hub, and 40 mm high rims that look sturdy and aerodynamic. Once installed, the first impression is immediately solid!

Installing the tires? Much easier compared to the previous wheelset. Moreover, its stiffness is really high, yet it still feels comfortable when paired with supple tires. A good combination for comfort as well as performance.

Photo 3: Coffee Ride

Drama arose during the coffee ride. Due to the rear derailleur setting not being optimal, the gearing got stuck at 50/17 and 34/17. But who would have thought, Kennardi actually managed to set a personal best on this route! And on the climbs, this wheelset truly shines, providing a much more responsive feel compared to his old wheelset.

Another advantage? The sound produced by the latest 54T star ratchet mechanism (Generation 2) of the Strummer! This sound makes Kennardi enjoy the ride even more. Wet routes during the rainy season and passing through damaged asphalt were also navigated smoothly, without issues. In fact, the 40 mm rim height remains stable, not too affected by sidewind.
