* Material strength testing was carried out using Westcott Titanium scissors. Scissors are closed. Rim tape is placed on thick padding. Scissors are pressed on the back surface of the bar tape (which contains glue). The results of the test were that the Strummer rim tape was deformed (but not torn). Bar tape from other brands has been torn without experiencing significant deformation.
