The Strummer Directset Headset is a headset with an integrated system, in which the bearings are installed directly inside the frame's head tube without using additional cups. This system provides a cleaner, more practical appearance for frames designed with the integrated headset standard.
This headset uses sealed bearings that follow the JIS standard, with bearings made of high carbon chromium steel. After undergoing heat treatment, the bearings have good hardness, a uniform surface, and improved stability and corrosion resistance.
At the top of the headset, the top cover features an O-ring to help reduce water ingress into the bearing area. The bolt section on the star nut cover is also fitted with a rubber protector, and a dust cover helps reduce the entry of dust and dirt into the components.
