GENERAL INFORMATION
Strummer® Solidset™ 5.4 is a simple high-quality semi-integrated threadless headset (also known as zero stack) for bicycles with straight (non-tapered) fork.
CUPS & BEARINGS
Each cup is manufactured using 6061 aluminum alloy, T6 heat treated, then precision CNC machined, resulting in a smooth and stable surface for the bearings to sit on.
The sealed bearings used in this headset adhere to JIS Standard, use high carbon chromium steel bearings. After heat treatment, the bearings produced have a high hardness, uniform surface, good stability, and corrosion resistance.
ANTI WEATHER DESIGN
The top cover of the headset features an O-Ring to prevent water ingress into the bearings. Bolts on the star nut cover are also covered with rubber to further prevent water ingress.
A dust cover is also used on the top cover of the headset. This prevents grime buildup in the components.
