- The terrain conditions while riding & the frequency of riding will determine how often cleaning, lubrication and other maintenance is required.

- 5.2*100mm and 9*142mm are the same size. 5.2mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 9mm is the outer diameter of the end cap part that is attached to the frame.
- 5.2*135mm and 10*135mm are the same size. 5.2mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10mm is the outer diameter of the end cap part that is attached to the frame.
- 5.2*142mm and 10*142mm are the same size. 5.2mm is the inner diameter of the end cap, while 10mm is the outer diameter of the end cap part that is attached to the frame.
Change OLD Size (Diameter & Width) Hub by Replacing End Cap (Adapter)
By using Strummer hubs, you can change the hub size, so the hub you buy can be installed on bikes with different frame & fork sizes. Below are some OLD (Over Lock Nut Dimension) sizes supported by our hub and adapter combination.

Freehub Body Conversion / Replacement
The Strummer hub can be modified to fit different cassette sprocket standards. This means our hubs can adapt to the brand of groupset you are using. This makes it easier when you need to change your bike to a different groupset.

Disc Brake Rotor Mounting System ConversionDisc Brake Rotor Conversion
Strummer hubs are available in several braking systems: rim brake, ISO 6 bolt disc brake, & centerlock disc brakes. If you have a hub with a centerlock disc brake system, it can also be fitted with a 6-bolt rotor using the Strummer centerlock adaptor ( ADT-00053BK ).
Freehub Body Rubber Seals Replacement
Rubber seal on Strummer hub has reinforcement on the inside to provide extra strength and durability. The reinforcement helps to maintain its shape for a longer period of time. However, rubber will still degrade & degrade over time. In general, it is a good idea to check the seals when cleaning your hub. If the seals have degraded, replace the rubber seals to prevent the ingress of dirt and water that can reduce the performance and durability of the hub.
Our rubber seals are easy to install, simply pull the freehub body and rubber seal in opposite directions. If the rubber seal has come off during the installation of the freehub body, simply take the rubber seal.
For installation, make sure the rubber seal is aligned, then push by holding 2 different sides of the rubber seal. Press in towards the freehub body in the appropriate direction.

Upgrade & Replacement Sealed Bearing Hub Strummer
We offer 3 variants different bearings for service, replacement, or upgrade. Our hubs are assembled with steel sealed bearing. You can also choose to use hybrid ceramic sealed bearing with the same size when servicing. Full ceramic bearings are only recommended for use on truly smooth road surfaces (Example: Track, Velodrome).
Please use the appropriate bearing size. Usage/installation Incorrect bearings can cause damage to the bore and affect the performance/durability of the hub/wheelset.
